Howdy everyone, I thought it might be good to start writing a Quarterly Update of what’s happening over the next three months. Since we’re already in the heart of Spring, some of what you’ll read here today will be a repeat of what’s already in motion and a little bit of what’s ahead.

May-Hem Grand Tournament

May-Hem GT on May 23&24th is just around the corner with a few spots still available! If you’re considering signing up you can register here. Rules cutoff is on May 16th (this Thursday) and lists are due at 11:59pm on May 19th!

HELL Season 6

Currently we’re about half way though Season 5, but plans are already being drawn up for Season 6, likely starting some time in August or early September. Keep an eye out for updates.

March of Iron

What a fantastic event, our largest yet! Huge congratulations to Exploding 6’s team! Exploding 6’s also received 2 Golden Tickets to the World Championship of Warhammer in Atlanta Georgia.

Getting 40 tables for 80 players was a real challenge but it could not have been done without the hard work of Patrick, Aric, and Kyle. These three really made things happen so thanks to their hard work! Also a big thanks to volunteers from the VoidFire Tactics Team and Friendly Fire who helped with setup on Friday Night.

I’m in the process of getting all the photographs from our photographer and will post them up as soon as they are available to share here.

Kelowna ComiCon 2025

Hammertime has consistently run an RTT or GT at Kelowna ComiCon over the last couple of years. Unfortunately due to some space limitations and additional conflicts we’ve decided not to host an event this year. We’re in the process of planning another Summer 40k event (possibly another Doubles event). Keep your eyes peeled for updates.

General Updates

This year we’ve really made some significant strides as an organization. March of Iron was our largest event yet and we’ve really been excited to be doing more events both casual and competitive. That being said, we feel its important to continue to update and formalize our standards and practices for future events. To that effect, we’ve updated our Player Code of Conduct which you can read more about here.

This also leads to some changes around our policies with regards to alcohol at our events. Unless otherwise stated, alcohol will be prohibited at our events. This includes inside any buildings we have rented and parking lots on our premises. The Hammertime team will be enforcing this policy moving forward, please respect this at our upcoming events.

Okay, that’s a wrap! See you all at the next event!
