2024 was a breakout year for Hammertime Tournaments with a total of 536 games of competitive warhammer played locally! (And an unknown number of failed 3″ charges and/or 2+ armour saves…)

Our team is a group of volunteers who want to support our local wargaming community by providing as many an events as we can, while still finding time for things like sleep, exercise, and work. By the numbers we hosted:

Six 1-day RTT’s, two 2-day teams events, two 2-day GT’s, and two seasons of Hammertime Extremely Local Leagues – all warhammer 40,000. (And despite all this I can’t figure out formatting in wordpress to make that a list format). We also provided space for two warmachine events!

If you’re looking for some Age of Sigmar events this year…well we’re looking for someone to step up and organise some so get in touch.

We also had some fine folks step up into the fold of “hammertime” and help us out with organising and running events (shout out to Aric and Rob for testing the waters and running their first events). I’ve got a kid on the way, and Wes has a wedding to plan, so having more folks helping out means we can keep putting on events even as some of us get busier.

We already announced several events for 2025, including an RTT in January (at time of writing 23/24 tickets sold), Hammertime Teams: March of Iron, HELL season 4, and the first GT of the season May-hem. May-hem will obviously be held in June…joking, it’s in May. You can also check out the front page of our website to check out upcoming events and find sign up links.

This group of ours if fuelled by constant unthanked effort behind the scenes – folks updating the website and social media, bringing baked goods to events unannounced, picking up prizes for us from our supporting game stores (shout out to Obsidian Games in Vernon for consistently helping us with prize support), or coming in on Friday night to help set up the hall for an event. The list goes on!

I want to give a special shout out to Kyle – he designed/ordered/built/coordinated all of our terrain, mats, and objective markers, including hours spent at a laser cutter manufacturing all the terrain we use.

Anyways, happy holidays y’all! You’ll probably see a lot less of me once there’s a baby in the picture, but you’ll be seeing a lot of events from our team here at hammertime.
